The Perfect 5 Minute Makeup Routine

perfect 5 minute makeup

Applying makeup when you’re running late is never easy and sometimes even dangerous especially for those of you who put it on while driving (tsk tsk!). Understanding how difficult it is to find a makeup routine that not only looks good but is quick too, I decided to share with you my all-time favorite 5 minute makeup routine that not only enhances your natural beauty but leaves you feeling confident as well!

This makeup routine is perfect for anyone on the go, in a rush or who simply doesn’t have the time for full face application. It’s perfect for just about anyone: whether you’re a mom, student, gym junkie or corporate gal.

Makeup doesn’t define my confidence, it boosts it!

Makeup isn’t about creating confidence, it’s about boosting my mood by enhancing my natural beauty. There may be days or experiences where a full face of makeup is necessary and appropriate but most days I find myself working from home or a nearby cafe, not needing a long and drawn out morning beauty routine.

That being said, I find great pride in enhancing my natural beauty with makeup and good style habits. There’s something about putting my best face and fashion foot forward that helps carry my head higher. I don’t know about you but lounging around in sweats with my hair in a ponytail sans makeup day in and day out is not my idea of a good time!

The 5 Minute Makeup Routine

Step 1. Even & Conceal

Start by applying a BB cream, tinted moisturizer or light foundation blending with your fingertips or beauty blender. Dab concealer under eyes and over any blemishes. Set with a slight dusting of translucent powder.

Step 2. Fill & Curl

You all know how I feel about a properly groomed eyebrow (you can read all about my eyebrow shaping tips here) so please take a moment to fill in your brow with powder. Remember this is a 5 minute makeup routine, so no need to fully line and tweeze your eyebrows today. Next, curl your eyelashes and apply your favorite mascara to enhance your eye shape.

Step 3. Swipe On & Go

A quick swipe of blush to your cheekbones and gloss on your lips finishes the routine. Lipstick is always acceptable in place of lipgloss, depending on where you’re headed. That’s it!

A Quick Note…

Of course you can customisz this routine to your liking and personal situation. If you have a few extra seconds consider applying eyeliner or a swipe of eyeshadow. It’s really up to you and the look you are going for. Just remember, this is a quick routine so try to keep it to a bare minimum!
